This client had a successful restaurant in Oxford and was looking to expand into the capital, securing an existing restaurant space within a listed terrace building in the heart of Chelsea.
The ground floor would be home to the main restaurant whilst on the lower ground there would be an intimate bar area. The basement level below that would be fairly utilitarian, containing the toilets, kitchen and storage areas.
We explored a number of internal layouts, analysing the cover capacity for each, utilising different seating styles which could influence the type of food and beverage that would be served. One option explored removing the bar completely, opting for a back of house servery.
